To everyone in my address book! :-< I received an email this morning as a result of something I posted on a genealogy list. The Independence County Arkansas list to be exact. That email had an attachment, after scanning with McAfee, I attempted to open it. I got an error message, something about the file being corrupt and it may be an internal error. I have sense received emails from myself! And another from someone who apparently received the same email and attachment. I did not send it out! If you receive an email from me with an attachment, DO NOT OPEN!!!!!!!!!!! I have scanned my computer with two different virus detectors and have not found a virus! Someone please help. What do I do? I am very sorry if you have been sent a virus from my computer. The original email came to me from [email protected] with the message, "have a look to the attachment". Help, Alma [email protected] http://198.63.2.33/index.php?ResellerID=272129
Hi All: Found this web site and thought it might be helpful to some. http://specialcollections.tasc.dot.gov/ It lists train wrecks from 1911 along with other items including air crashes. The search engine is hard to navigate. I found the index much easier to use. Alma [email protected] Visit my store @ http://198.63.2.33/index.php?ResellerID=272129
Hi Ray: Can you tell anything more about your Turner line? My great grandmother married a Turner in Ind. Cty. His name was Luther, hers was Lucy Rawlings. They had several children. I haven't done much research on this line as Luther was Lucy's second husband and my step great grandfather. Hello. I'm looking for relatives of William H Morrison, son of William Morrison and Lavina Martha Linebarger. William H Morrison was brother to my g grandmother Susan Caroline Morrison who married James Monroe Jones. There was also a full sister to the above. She was Mrs Maggie Eden of McHue, as listed in Susan's obituary. There were two half brothers to William H and Susan, and Maggie. They were listed as Henry Morrison of Judsonia and Frank Morrison of Detroit (Michigan, I believe). Any relatives out there? Marriage lookup for William H Morrison or Maggie Morrison Eden? Best, Raymond Mays San Angelo, TX

Bob, You're right, there is not much on WITTER, except the William Witter line, which I haven't been able to connect with yet. (that is why I was bold enough to ask for any WITTER, I know there are never very many. THERE IS a WITTER in Bradford Co., PA., an Elias, who may be the son of Parke WITTER of the William Witter family. That may be your Pennslvania WITTER connection. I cannot connect with this family yet, maybe someday. I am working on Gr Grandfather Elias Morgan WITTER of Madison County AR. Information says he was born in AR in 1852 and I am searching for that place and the name of his parents. I did find a Jahalum WITTER, age 17, in 1850 Independence PA Census. I now need to know where he is in 1860. Thanks for your interesting story. I'll keep it just in case.... Witter is such an unusual name I thought I'd just drop a line. I have an aunt from Texas who married Donald Paul Witter of Cornwall, PA, which is in the Lebanon-Lancaster area of Southern Pennsylvania. Uncle Don is now dead but they had three sons. DP Jr., a geogolist in Arizona, Danny a forest ranger in Missouri and David, a geologist in Texas. I have no idea how the Witters came to be in PA. But Uncle Don as quite a character. A smallish man with a maustache, he was the local high school band director and once even performed in Carnagie Hall in NYC> Would there be any connection for you. Posted on: Independence Co. Ar Biographies Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Ar/IndependenceBios/10003 Surname: DeCamp ------------------------- Britton, Nancy "A Memoir of Robert Lee Flinn by his son Charles Conway Flinn" - "The Independence County (AR) Chronicle" - Vol. 29, No. 3 & 4, April-July 1998, p. 16-18. "Robert Lee farmed about two years in the Oil Trough Bottoms at Elmo on White River. Then his brother, Cassius Monroe Flinn, elected sheriff of Independence County. He asked Robert to be his deputy. He worked several years for his brother, who was reelected for several terms until he lost his health. Robert, being offered a better job, took a job as a policeman in Hoxie, Arkansas. He said it was the worst police job he ever held. He then went to Morrilton, Arkansas. For a policeman, Morrilton was a very tough place, too. He then came back to Batesville and was a policeman for Chief Ed Decamp, who was a good friend of the Flinn family. "Robert said that during the Civil War Ed Decamp's grandfather (Willam C. DeCamp) was killed by robbers who prayed on people, especially the old. Mr. Decamp was trying to get to Dr. Jesse Washington Flinn's house, as Dr. Flinn had a guard that was paid by the Confederate States government. Robert said the man's name was Thomas Welch, and that he was a bad one, too, but he saved the Dr.'s life. As soon as the robbers killed Mr. Decamp, they came to Dr. Flinn's home. They asked for Dr. Flinn, but Tom Welch stood them off. They left and Dr. Flinn was spared. This information relating to the Civil War was told to Robert Lee Flinn by his mother, and he told it to his son, Charles C. Flinn."

Looking for information on John Grover Lewis, married to Dora Alice Mosely. Not sure of dates. Their son, my grandfather, Aubrey C. Lewis, was born in Batesville in 1918. Other children were Estelle, Elvie, Norma Jean, Juanita, J.W., and several others, whose names I don't know. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. My grandfather passed away in 1989, and no one in the family seems to know much about the Lewis relatives and ancestors. Thanks, Georgiana
