    3. I have gotten the Howard Co website updated. You will see a couple new links to AR WWII Army & Army Air Force Casualties...one is directly to the Howard Co link and the other is for the main page. If you go to the main page you may find a couple of links inoperable...they are still being transcribed so be patient for all counties to be completed. A big thank you to our AR State coordinator Betsy Mills who has done a wonderful job making this information available and conducting the project. I did make a quick trip to Howard Co a few weeks ago. While there I was informed of a book I purchased called "Reflections A Pictorial History of Howard Co., AR" A Publication of "The Nashville Leader" There is 96 pages and the photos range from late 1800's to the year 2000+ There is no index. I don't know if the Nashville News Leader has a database of names in the book or not..I did not think to ask. You can find their link on the Howard Co website or go to the Online News Paper List http://www.usnpl.com/ for any questions you might have on ordering. I THINK I paid $25 for the book. Of course I don't know what the shipping and handling would be to ship it. Some of the names of the older pictures are: Tollett, Poole, Chessir, Lee, McGuire, Jacques, Harrison, Watson, Jones, Westbrook, Robertston, Cranford, Hale, Smith, Adams, Wilson, Hayes, Norwood, Johnson, Ayers, Estes, S. B. Reese (house), abt 1911 United Methodist Chuch Sunday school (many names listed), Buck Range school abt 1913 (many names listed), Cassady, Douglas, Reeder, Williams, Ponder family abt 1911 (many names listed), Biggs family (many names listed), Braggs family (many names listed), Pope home (many names listed), Pullen, Batch, Garner, McAdams, Ball...there are many school & church gatherings with many names listed. These are only a few listed and I am just up to page 27...so this gives you an idea that it has many photos and many people. I am not sure if I made the announcement that AGS (AR Genealogical Society) has a new publication for the AR Birth Prior...it is Volumes 1-6 ( http://www.agsgenealogy.org/publications.htm ) I personally purchase the cd format not only because of cost but I have alternate ways of searching...but to each their own preference. Also I will make note to you they are hosting the FGS Conference (Federation of Genealogist Society) in Little Rock Sept 2-9 this year. If you have never attended a national conference...I encourage you to do so...there is so much knowledge there that can be obtained you will think you are about to explode<G>. Thank you to those who submitted information to be posted on the Howard Co., AR US GenWeb Project! Good luck in your search!
