    1. [ARHOWARD] New Gravestones Project
    2. Tootie Dennis
    3. Greetings Arkansas Researchers, I wouldlike to invite you to check out the Arkansas Gravestone Photo Project and participate in its growth as it will only grow with everyone's involvement. The www.Arkansasgravestones.org i s a wonderful tool to preserve the headstones of your ancestors. With the advent of time and weather and vandalism, our headstones are disappearing at an alarming rate. We need to work on preserving a digital image of our family stones as a fitting tribute to our ancestors. This site is an easy-to-use site that exists to make this preservation possible. Additionally there is no cost to the contributor or to anyone wanting to view the photos, hard to find in this day and age where everything costs something. Plus this is a great way to have a backup for all those photos you presently have. There are no annoying ads flashing, moving or popping. Particularly valuable are those very old headstone photos that you have in grandma's photo album. Scan them into your computer and add them to the site as they may be the only testament to your ancestors life. Share them with the world. This is link for the Arkansasgravestones.org GPP Arkansasgravestones.org has just come on line. We are presently working to get it setup and we would invite you to check it out. Also, I am asking for your help, please add your photos to the site. Every county will have space. I am your Arkansas State coordinator and I am truly excited about being involved. If you need help in adding your pictures i will be glad to help....another great way to save a grave. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at tootied@suddenlink.net to respond to this message. Many of you know me for my SHARP research. Any one interested in hosting any of the counties i would like to hear from you. For you information there are 11 more states with the gravestones.org sites and more are being added. Thank you very much! Tootie Dennis aka Ira Sharp Dennis tootied@suddenlink.net The following states are currently using a version of the Gravestone Photo Project software: www.arizoniagravestones.org www.arkansasgravestones www.coloradogravestones www.illinoisgravestones www.iowagravestones www.marylandgravestones www.mainegravestones www.nebraskagravestones www.newgrunswickgravestones (Canada) www.newmexicogravestones www.newyorkgravestones www.ohiogravestones www.oregongravestones www.pennsylvaniagravestones www.virginiagravestones www.utahgravestones

    1. [ARHOWARD] 3 Free Days of Ancestry.com
    2. Jane Foley
    3. To access the free three days, I went to the goodmorning america homepage and there was a link to ancestry for the free trial. This is the link to good morning america: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/ On the right side of this page is a link to the free trial. Look for Recent GMA Stories. You have to click on "Chris Cuomo traces his roots back to Italy". Then you have to click on Related: GMA Special: Trace Your Family Tree for Free. You will have to upload a gedcom when it asks you to. I hope this helps! Jane Foley

    1. Blanch Caldwell - Bonny & Clyde Fame
    2. Jane Foley
    3. Benny Blanch Ivy Caldwell (of Bonnie and Clyde fame) was my 3rd cousin. She was married to Buck Barrow, Clyde's brother. I met her in the 1970's at a Caldwell family reunion at Idabel, OK. I have just recently met over the internet another cousin of mine, Debbie Jane Moss from TX. She is writing a book on Blanch Caldwell as the real story has not been told about her. My mother interviewed Blanch some years ago before she died. Debbie has sent me today a video that was taken in May 2006 of the Gibsland, LA shootout by renactors. Every year they meet in May when they were killed and renact the sceen. If anyone is interested in seeing it, I can forward it to you. I don't want to get in trouble with the website if I am doing something wrong because of a rule I might not know about. Remember the Moss family and Fontaine Family married into the Caldwell family in TN before settling in Hempstead Co./Howard Co., AR. Jackson Family also married Caldwells. Blanch's father was Matthew Fontaine Caldwell. Jane Foley NC
