Thank you for your help. Are you related through Isaac? I have a question... I have a large piece of artwork on canvas, size about 18x24, of a man in uniform, looks like Civil War attire but, the Hat says: U & R, where the & symbol is looks like a Train or an Anchor... I have NO idea what the U and the R stand for. The medium of this artwork looks like a Pencil drawing or very fine Charcoal. It looks like a Professional Portrait during the Civil War. I think that this person is either a SCAGGS, ELKINS, CHRISTIAN or a LAMBERT. I have looked and am not coming up with anything. I'm stumped. Thanks...
