I am searching for any information regarding senator James ELLIS who represented Greene and Randolph Counties from 1851-1854. Family lore is that James had a brother William and two sisters; Sarah and Jane. Jane married John Mitchell and owned an inn outside of Gainesville. Sarah married Granville NUTT and lived in Gainesville. The Nutt children married Jack DICKENSON, George SEITZ, John BALL. All researching these names that has any information please contact me.
