Tina: Here's another cheering section. You and your niece have done a great job and are to be commended for all of your hard work and efforts. Particularly under some adverse circumstances at times. I do have a couple of suggestions, however. I find the color scheme you have used just fine. However: 1) The intro page is totally unnecessary. The info there could well be incorporated on the main page for the website. 2) There is a lot of wasted space on the pages because of the font size, large graphic size in some of the pictures, unnecessary spacing between line, etc. Each page could be condensed without losing the artistic effects. 3) Graphic size - this is a real aggravation for many people. The larger the graphic size, the longer it take a page to load (not just yours). Your Welcome banner and little girls in the heart could be very much reduced without losing the effect. Reductions of this type would also allow you to put more info on each page and therefore use less pages overall. You are off to a great start and so many people will benefit from what you are doing.
