I am looking for data regarding James Ellis. He was an AR State Senator from 1851 to 1854 representing Randolph and Greene Counties. He was married to Nancy Baker and had two daughters; Nancy Jane and Martha E. James Ellis is listed in the Greene Co 1840 census. James had a sister Jane Mitchel/Michel in Greene Co listed in the 1860 Greene Co census 453/443 Union Twp. My questions are; When did he die? Where is he buried? When was he born? Where was he born? I wrote to the AR Secretary of State and all they could tell me is that he served. Would you mind looking in the 1850 and 1860 census also? James had property in Greene Co in 1850 that later became part of Clay Co. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Phil Di Matteo
