Tina, Having been a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for the past 40 years I will try to answer your question. The "Odd Fellows" is a Brotherhood Fraternity much the same as the Masons. It is the largest fraternity in the world under one head. The Sovereign Grand Master and the headquarters is in Winston-Salem, NC where it was moved from Baltimore, Maryland several years ago. The basic beliefs are to take care of the sick, relief of the sick, bury the dead and take care of the orphan. As you can tell the government has taken over a lot of this but we still work hard to do what we can for all of our own members.
