Posted on: Greene County, Ar Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ar/Greene?read=781 Surname: White, Bibb, Howton, Allmond ------------------------- Whites of Greene Co., Ar. My line goes back to Bloomer, his gr.son J.Clint my gr.grandfather cousin to your's. Will be glad to share info.
I don't know if it's appropriate for someone other than the listowner/administrator to request a roll call, but, if I'm out of line, I'm sure someone will set me straight. Lately, about all that's been posted to the list has been queries copied from the Greene County genweb page. The queries are great but surely we have more to share. With all of us researching Greene County families, I would be surprised if many of us, if not all, do not have overlapping families. Although the direct lines of each of us might not interest anyone else on the list, the information gathered on our collateral families might contain just the clue someone needs to make a startling discovery, or to fill a gap in their family tree. Why don't we begin a round of discussions about our Greene County roots and start by listing the surnames of our Greene County ancestors? We could follow up by posting the details about our earliest Greene County ancestor and his or her family. If someone sees a connection, a response to the list might inspire others to post similar information about their families. Want to give it a try and see what develops?
