Josiah A. Higgins 1854-1883, married Hester Ann Hyde, 1857-1933, d/o Sally Higgins Hyde and Jim Hyde. Children of Josiah and Hester were; 1. Wesley Hyde, m Alice Cox 2. Hiram Higgins m Lula Cline 3. Eva Higgins m Johnny Pillow 4. Ezra Higgins m Etta Tedder Josiah b. Big Creek, 1854, and was killed at his home by law officials, who mistook him to be one of a group of horse theives. These men had stolen horses from Missouri and had spent the night on the Higgins farm.
