Newton, and his wife Stacey, came to Greene County from Lauderdale County, Alabama, in the late 1850's and lived there until the 1870's. Their children were: John M., Rachel E., Isaac M. "Scott", Nancy A., and Josiah Higgins. Newton and Stacey were my great-great-grandparents. John M. and his wife Catherine Moody Higgins were my great grandparents.
