When I was a youngster, growing up at Schugtown in the extreme northeast corner of Craighead County (the northern boundary of our farm joined the Greene County line), our family attended Schugtown Methodist Church. Our church shared a pastor with other Methodist Churches at Bard, Morning Star and, I think, Griffin Memorial, all in Greene County. I believe Morning Star was in the southeastern part of the county, near the Coffman Community, not far from the St. Francis River.
