To those (like me) who are having a problem accessing the Greene County GenWeb pages -- are you using a Macintosh computer? I use a Macintosh. And I remember a few months ago that the Vitalrec.com pages could not be entered by Macintosh computer (the computer would freeze, and would have to be rebooted), while Windows-based computers did not have that problem. Several of us Mac users compared notes on a genealogy mailing list before we figured out it was a Mac-related problem. They have since repaired the problem. -Steve
Nope, I have a PC. Never had trouble before the past few days. Could someone tell me is there any certain thing that makes Macintosh freeze up? When they enter our site.I have went in and redid the first page that was what we were working on when everyone started having trouble. The only thing we had trouble posting that day was the background and I have uploaded a new one . Not that I know of on our site we don't use cookies but I know Rootsweb does . I have them in my files where I have visted the Rootsweb homepages. Hi Tina- I clicked on the"Enter" gate and my Mac started to load it then quit- and opened a "not found" page. I tried it several times. then finally tried the "without frames" index and it worked fine????? To Steve- When you said "They" repaired it, do you mean the web page designers or the Mac users??
