Edward married Gertrude Elizabeth Freeman in 1883 in Greene County. Her parents were Isaac C Freeman and Patience Alabama Murphy. His mother was Hester Ellen Lloyd and father's surname supposedly Stone. The name Cooper is from his mother's second husband James Jefferson Cooper. The children of Edward and Gertrude Cooper are: Sterling Cooper (unk-unk) Charles Thomas Cooper (1885-1949) Ora V Cooper Clark (1887-unk) Arthur "Van" Sylvanus Cooper (1889-unk) Maude Mae Cooper Sims (1890-1965) Lawrence Judson Cooper (1896-1967) Millie Ludie Cooper Buchanan(1898-unk) In light that can be shed on Edward's father would be greatly appreciated.
