From others, I have learned tidbits of Mr. Barnhill's research on the Winns, but, if it is available, I would love to look at his entire collection. Thanks in advance. Debra >>

    3. Hi Sandy and I have worked really hard to earn everyones respect and confidence since we started doing the Greene Co. Site. We didn't have any idea in what we were doing when we started we had never done a website and we taught ourselves (pulling out our hair) alot of mistakes and alot of reading and taking notes .Sandy and I usually have a list on names and dates and alot of maybe's and we go to library and try to look up information for people that request it. Sandy is working on posting the Pistol Registration files . They are very interesting I never dreamed that back then a gun had to be registered . We have made alot of good friends and even located cousins and more (well actually they located us). The main reason we decided to take on the responsibility of doing the county page was we just hated to see something as good as this go to waste. Records and history of our family's are something I don't believe in making a profit over the information is here in the county courthouse and library and all it cost is the price of your copy . We feel that if our families can donate land for cemeteries, churches ,schools , hospitals etc... Than we can donate our time to post all the information we can find to help others and give back to our community at least some of what are families gave so many years ago. Thanks a bunch from the both of us . tina and sandy Tina Easley surnames:Morton, Easley, Lambert,Gladish, Reddick, Marsh, Coggins, Reaves, Lenderman Greene County Arkansas http://www.rootsweb.com/~argreene/greene1.html Come Take A Trip in History!!! ----- Original Message ----- From: <RJenn3110@aol.com> To: <ARGREENE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 10, 2000 8:30 AM Subject: Re: [ARGREENE] INFORMATION > Tina, > > All of your effort, hard work and diligence is greatly appreciated!!! 3. I too would like to say "Thanks", I live in California and have only been able to visit the Library in Paragould twice on a visit to an Agee family Reunion a few years ago. My father grew up in Bard/Paragould and we brought him back for the reunion, and discovered my Great Grandfather while there and was able to back it up at the library that it was actually him in the cemetary. While doing some research in the library I was looking at the Greene County marriage book and quickly discovered a listing for Robert McClain and Wilma Robinson???? I was very puzzled at this I looked at my Dad, and he said "That's me", well I looked back at the book and repeated the names and looked at him again and he said again "That's me", well dumbfounded at what I was reading I repeated it again and looked at my Dad again and he said for the third time "That's me, that was my first wife"!!!!!!!!!!!! Egad, you could of heard a pin drop in the research room at the library, all the people had turned and watched and listened as we unearthed yet some more information for the family tree, I finally looked at my Dad and said "any brothers or sisters I need to know about"? Well sitting at my computer the other day and looking at your website I was able to find the same listing online that I found a few years ago in Paragould, only difference now is that my father died at Christmas and I would of been unable to have solved that mystery by myself. Although I find that I want to call my Dad several times a day and ask him questions about the family, so make sure you ask all the questions you can, who knows you might open a whole new can of worms. Our day in the library sure has left us with a great story though!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all your hard work it is greatly appreciated. Barbara McClain Gillespie

    3. Hi Tina I just want to tell you that I think you are doing a fantastic job on this and I for one appreciate it very much. I still haven't found my great grandmother (Bethania McGee) yet but I hope to real soon. All the Census reports in Clay Co. Il. say she was born in AR so I feel sure that I will run onto her before long so I just keep searching everything I can on Ar. .
