He sent for "Aunt Vic" she came to Sequoyah Cy and married George Hunter an Indian and City commissioner of Sallisaw OK. I know that Uncle George had a store in Fort Smith AR right beside Sallisaw. One of the Uncles supposedly killed himself although I have found no proof of this. You will find a couple of this line on the 1900 and 1910 census on sequoyah county ok look in Brent township. Linwood Cem., Greene Co.,AR, and his siblings Samuel Frederick (1900-1971), USAF ret., bur. Lilbourn,MO., Ava Lee and Martha Miriam "Dutch". Their father was Charles Frederick Mauk, reportedly killed in a lumbering accident when son Samuel was stil an infant. He is buried in Owens Chapel, AR. Is that in Greene Co.? Also not sure if he died in Greene Co. or around Poplar Bluff, MO. Their mother, Florence Stagg(s), died when Samuel was still a boy. The children were then raised by their maternal grandmother Martha Stagg(s) Moore and step-grandfather "Sam" Moore (James Samuel?), both believed bur. at Owens Chapel. They also had an uncle (or cousin?) whom they called Uncle "Lige" Moore. He is believed to have moved to Canada where he had a barrel stave business. He was still alive in the 1950s. James Jackson had twins (a boy Bill and a girl_?_) who, after his first wife's death or ?, were adopted by his sister Ava Lee and her then-husband Cecil Phillips (sp?. The girl later md. a man named _?_ Birdsong. Ava Lee may have md. several more times. Miriam md. Glenn Wegner and lived in CA. Samuel Frederick md. Rosa Willis in 1932.
