Gragg born June 6, 1858 and died Oct. 9, 1963, and wife Julia A. Gragg born Aug. 6, 1859 and died Feb. 21, 1920. Also Mattie Gragg Horne born Dec. 1872 and died May 1929. Mattie and husband J.I. had a son named Carl born July 30, 1908 and died Apr. 23, 1924. Also there is a J.E. Gragg born 1869 and died 1902. All of these family members are buried in the Gainesville cemetary in Greene co. north of Paragould. Anyone researching this line, please respond.

Tn then to Shelby co. William married Mary Amn English and their daughter Mary Jane Gragg born: Sept. 1842, married Joseph cephus Whitaker. Joseph and Mary had a daughter Lou Ann Crecian Whitaker born: Oct7, 1886, died May 9, 1911 married David Hooks (1861-1943). This couple is buried in the Gainesville cemetary in Paragould, Ar in Greene co. Several other Gragg family members are buried in this cemetary and Linwood cemetary in Paragould. One of the Gragg members was named Cory. I am wondering how this family is connected to my Gragg family that came to Craighead and Greene co. in the late 1800's. William David Gragg born 1859, Tn and died 1931 Ar. At one time my Gragg family lived in Greene co. then moved to the Macey community north of Monette. This is where he is buried along with his wife, Hettie McDaniel Gragg. Some of the McDaniel family came to Arkansas also, some to Greene and some to Craighead co.

Hello. I'm new to the list. I live in the St. Louis, Missouri area, so travel to Greene County isn't impossible, but I haven't found the time to get there yet. People I'm looking for: Peter HATLEY: born about 1825 in Benton County, Tennessee. Married to Elizabeth (Betty) TEDDER in Benton County, Tennessee on December 26, 1865. They moved to Greene County, AR shortly thereafter. I would like to know what happened to their children and when they died and where they are buried. I can't find them AT ALL after they moved to Green County, AR. I do have a land record showing that Peter did purchase land in Greene County, AR, and I have found another marriage license on LDS for him (or at least I think it's him) showing him marrying America SANGER. There were a number of Hatley's in Greene County, AR and I can't be sure it's him. One of their daughters, Rebecca (born 1863 in Benton County, Tennessee) (actually, Peter's step daughter) is my direct ancestor. I've been able to track her, after her marriage and have a lot of info on her adult life, including her obit and burial site & marriage license. Also, looking for Alvin Washington (Dick) JACKSON. He was Rebecca's husband. I've been able to find all kinds of info on him, including his obit and Census records, however, I cannot find his parents. He, too, was born in Tennessee and moved to Greene County, Arkansas shortly after he married Rebecca. If this sounds familier to anyone, please let me know. Thanks for any and all help!!!

Some of you seem to be having a bit of a problem navigating on the ARGREENE rootsweb. The fault may be at grnco.net. The ISP did some updates last Monday. I had all kinds of error messages, I had trouble all week downloading my e-mail from grnco.net, but now the problem seems to be fixed.

Tina- I have both browsers on my computer(iMac) so I tried using Internet Explorer instead of Netscape. When I clicked on the "Enter" gate it started loading then flashed a warning sign that said something about script errors in the page I was trying to load. I don't know whether this will help or not but anyone who is having problems accessing pages on the web site should probably check to make sure you have the newest version of your browser. The newest browser for Netscape is Netscape Communicator 4.7. The newest browser for Internet Explorer is version 5.5 (I believe that is right), although 5.0 seems to work fine also.
