Joseph would have been the right age. Joseph would have been in Bibb Alabama at the time. The Census indicates all of his children were born in Alabama so the records would be there. Joseph was only 40 when he passed and Sarah was only 46 as best I can tell when she passed. Where did you find a referance to Joseph serving in the Civil War? At that time he said he was born in Kennett Missouri, now Kennett Missouri is in Dunklin co is only maybe 30 miles from Pargould, Arkansas. If you need I can look at the census .
