His (I have been told male anyhow) parents were Robert L Morris and Beulah Campbell Morris. They lived in the Delaplaine area. All the children born in Arkansas were born in Delaplaine. Family story is he died from what would now be brittle bone disease. My Grandma remembers holding him when it happened (she was born in 1926). The family moved to Illinois around 1939/1940. The children left from that line all agree there was a child who died in Arkansas and think his name was either Clyde or Garrett. The family lost several children but 1 has been found (in Illinois) and, after many years, marked with a stone. Thanks!! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Also, could the parents of a Samuel born in NC move back to Maryland to their homeplace? My husband's ancestor is John Carmack b. 21 August 1819 Cravens Co NC and his DNA confirmed he was related to a Samuel B. Carmack b. 1808 in NC. Researcher's from the Samuel B. Carmack line can't seem to find his ancestors. The Carmack's in NC had to have come from somewhere and I thought possibly from Frederick County Maryland where many Carmack's were living in the early years. Many years ago I had received info by a Josephine Carmack who is deceased now, but she had John Carmack's father was a John Carmack in MD married to 1. Mary Delaplaine 2. Ellen/Helen Landers. At first the son John was listed as being born in Maryland, but later changed to Cravens, NC. That family is listed below: John CARMACK, JR (son of John CARMACK & Sarah WOLF) born @ 1784 died 23 Apr 1850 Frederick Co, Ladiesburg, MD married 1. Mary DELAPLAINE b. 7 Jul 1789 d.18 Jun 1838 married 2. Ellen/Helen LANDERS on 13 Mar 1840 b. @1802 MD 1. Ephraham CARMACK [email protected] d.1894 2. Joshua CARMACK b. 3 Apr 1827 d. 2 August 1892 The above came out of the CARMACK COUSINS NEWSLETTER, Fall issue for September, October, November, printed September 1, 1988. Editor: Agnes C. Jones If anyone has similiar ideas please share with the CARMACK researchers. By the way on the 9th of May I will be a CARMACK for 46 years, married to my husband, Charles aka Sonnie CARMACK. That is 3 times longer than I was a LAYTON because I was 15 when Sonnie & I were married in 1965.
