Ny grgrgrandmother Sarah HICKS was b. in Bond Co. IL to Marvel & Marthena (HENSON) HIX. She m. Jacob MARSHALL. They moved to Oregon Co. MO prior to his death in the early 1850's. She then m. John S. PEWIT/PUITT and they are listed with her MARSHALL Children and the PUITT children in the 1860 Fulton Co. Census. He is taken Prisoner in Civil War and dies in Prison camp in IN. She is still in Fulton Co. in 1870 and then moves to Ft. Smith area with son John "Bub" PEWITT. Her Sisters are: Matilda m. 1st John Wesley POTTS and 2nd Loammi POTTS, who stayed in IL. Rebecca who m. Jacob CAWVEY. This family moved to )Oregon Co. MO and then to Fulton Co. MO. Martha "Patsy" who m. John HATFIELD, they were in Oregon Co. MO in 1860 and then disappear. Mary in 1850 in Oregon Co. MO then unaccounted for. Susan last found in 1850 in Oregon Co. MO. Any info on any of these people appreciated. I have more info I would be glad to share. Dora
