Couldn't help but respond to the Bald Know inquiry. I lived in Wheeling, (s. of Salem) in the late 30's. My aunt lived in Searcy. My mother and I would ride the mail truck from Salem to Bald Knob where my aunt would pick us up...I think that was the end of the railroad line too, or was it Judsonia? Brings back memories!
