I am looking for the parents of a LouElla (or Elsie) Davis who was born between 1879 - 1882 in AR. At 19, she married Alvin Godwin in Fulton County, AR in 1900. Their marriage license lists Ella as "19 from Hardy AR". In the 1900 census, Ella and Alvin Godwin lived in Pleasant Ridge, Fulton County, Arkansas; by 1910, they lived in Mammoth Springs, Fulton County, Arkansas with their two children Laura and Arvil. Both census reports list TN as Ella's parents' place of birth. I lose track of Ella and the two children after 1910. Alvin goes back to live with his parents. I did see an Ella McGee, married (but no husband listed), with two kids - Lorine O and Orvale L Godwin on the 1920 Pottawatomie, OK census. However, her age is not quite right in this census (34 yo, which would make her born in 1886), although the children's ages are correct. Also this census lists her place of birth as TN and that of the kids to be MO. Her son, Orvale L Godwin corresponds to my great-grandfathe! r's name, so I am pretty sure this is the right Ella. I am looking for Ella's parents who were at one time probably in the Sharp or Fulton County, AR area and also I am looking for her daughter, Laura or Lorine Godwin.
