    3. Sorry, I have no Winnie Rhodes or any Manning. But that's not to say that they aren't on my tree! The Rhodes is my ex-husband's line and I have been trying to gather info on them because of my sons. I do have a Daniel Rhodes born 1840 and a Henry born 1849. Bennett Elisha Rhodes was b. abt 1770 in North Carolina and migrated to Missouri. There he married a Delaware Indian , Blue Duck. His children were born in Delaware territory around Cape Giradeau, Missouri. The Wheeling and Union areas were bustling in the 1880's. I know that Wheeling had a store, post office, and cotton gin. There used to be a lake there and it was almost named Lake City or something along those lines. The gin and post office are long gone, and so is the lake. but I remember the store still being there when I was a child. Tom Cone owned it at that time and he used to give my sister and I candy whenever we would be down visiting from Kansas City. I have asked some of the old timers around if they remember a lake at Wheeling, but none do. .

    3. I sell Real Estate here in Baxter County, Ar. & I listed a farm yesterday in Wheeling. What a coinsidense! I had never been there. Then this morning alot of inquires on Emails from there. Like a vision almost. Also, it's clost to Union where I've found census records on alot of my ancestors. My grandpa was born in 1887 in Salem his death cert. says ,wonder if it was Wheeling now or Union. I'm going back over there to put up some signs & go to Union. Also, rumor has it that Katie Manning went to an Indian Reservation for a while at least, wonder if she was a decendant of Blue Duck. Is he the same mean Blue Duck on Lonesome Dove? What a bunch of stuff you come up with doing this geneology. Have you found a good Fulton Co, page to go to? Great hearing from you. Ilene P.S. Where would the Indian Reservation be ? Katie was born Izard, Co. Aug.1894. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vicki Rhodes" <vlrhodes@centurytel.net> To: <ARFULTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 21, 2005 1:10 PM Subject: Re: [ARFULTON] Book out and Langston > Sorry, I have no Winnie Rhodes or any Manning. 3. Ilene, Who's farm did you list? (Or may I ask?) My parent's live at Wheeling. There's nothing at Union except for the old church and cemetery. I have some family buried there... Campbell's. Blue Duck was a woman and there was no reservation at the time. It was Delaware Indian Territory before Missouri became a state. And yes, the info is amazing that you find while doing genealogy. I just wish I had more time. I'm a nurse and now doing traveling across the U.S. so I don't have much puter time anymore. Vicki

Don't remember whose it was before , they told me & I forgot. Send me a buyer & I'll help you with your geneology. Ha Ilene why don't you just use my email add cherokee@mtnhome.com.
