My mother's record says William's parents came from North Ireland, but do not give their names or imm. dates. William was a War of 1812 veteran under Andrew Jackson, then removed to Illinois Terr. He married twice; first to a dau of a James Brown, and second to Rebecca Taggart, widow of John Lacy. Rebecca and William Adair were my gggrandparents. No clue whether he had a sister or not, but your dates for Eliza Adair suggest a possible relationship. I'd be interested in information about Eliza's parents.
