Who were the parents of your Larkin Westley Hunt? I have a Larkin Hunt who was the son of a John Hunt, possibly from Alabama originally, ended up in Arkansas. I believe John died in Jonesboro. My Larkin was the brother of Margaret "MIlly" Louisa Hunt, who married Marion Pinkney Thomas. Any connections, possibly? Thanks, Georgiana

Georgina, All what we know about Larkin's parents is what Lilian Hays write in " Some Boone Descendants ...: "Melissa Callaway Hunt died Jan. 28, 1837, leaving a three years old boy (James Thompson Hunt) and a three months old boy (Dr Larkin Wesley Hunt). After Melissa Hunt's death, the father , Wesley Hunt, (born Aug. 1814, Kentucky) left the two baby boys in the care of a neighbor and started from Louisiana, Mo., their home, to cross the Mississippi River to see if his sister in Illinois would take care of the children. Wesley Hunt was never heard from again. It was presumed that he drowned while crossing the Missippi River ..." We neither know his sister's name nor her husband's. Any help would be appreciated.
