Fulton County has only one newspaper called "The News" They print "The South Missourian News" for Thayer Missouri area and "Villager Journal" for the Cherokee Village area. The News is a consolidation of "The Salem Headlight", "The Mammoth Spring Democrat" and "The Sharp County Record" The Salem Headlight dates back many years and The News prints a copy of the front page of the Headlight 40 years ago in every issue.
