Patricia, THE BILLINGSLEY FAMILY IN AMERICA by Harry Alexander Davis, published in 1936, has a list of Samuel's children by each wife, along with information about them. M. Jane is not among them, but James Amos Billingsley is. Samuel had a Jane Billingsley by his first wife Ruth Hale, but she was much, much older than 16 by 1850. So this M. Jane Billingsley has me puzzled. I am going to look an 1840 census for a Samuel Billingsley that I found listed in the 1840 TN census. But according to the Billingsley book, Samuel and his family moved to AR by 1840. Glenda, I'll send you the 1850 census page that lists M. Jane in Samuel's household.
