Douglas Lee Lawyer b. 1868, wife Mary Susanna Roberts, I have 1910 Fulton co, and he was listed there. I think his father was Stephen D. Lawyer, not sure of his birth date. I'm looking for a sister of Douglas Lee Lawyer, name Annie. That's the reason I thought I would find her in 1880 before he married Mary Roberts about 1900. Not sure when he moved to Fulton co. thanks anyway--I'll keep on looking!
Could this be your Lawyer family in IL? Could son Stephen D. Lawyer be your Douglas? Perhaps the Annie you are looking for is the 2nd wife of Steven or Stephen or Sephen. We also noted that Douglas Lawyer in Fulton Co. 1910 census was born IL with father b. OH and mother b. OH, which agrees with the 1880 record. Perhaps you could find a marriage record about 1891 for Stephen Lawyer and Anie ?. Hope this gives you a clue.
