Dear List Member, I need help to determine if there were two William M. Adams living in the area. I found a William M. Adams born 1835 as son of Matthew and Pryscilla Catherine Wolf Adams. I believe he had at least two wives: Luisa Unknown and Orlena/Arlena/ Doxlena J. Unknown. The last time I found him he was in Texas on the 1880 census. I know that his parents moved to Texas before the Civil War so I believe this is the right relationship here. I find reference to a William Martin Adams, parents unknown to me, who married Nancy Arnold and then Susan Smith Ledford Adams. I need to know if I have this information correct as two men or should I have the information all under one man, married four times? I desperately need to know the name of the parents of the William Martin Adams who married to the Susan Smith Ledford as her second husband and she as his second wife, probably there in Baxter, Izard, Marion, Fulton or Shapr counties.
