I'm on Qwest.net and every time one of these major viruses hits, my messages will nearly stop. I'll have several hit all at once and they will be days old. I'm only guessing that is what the problem is. Where I normally run 50-60 emails a day, I've been down to only a dozen. I too miss the "action" Even though a lot of the conversations on the Fulton county list don't have anything to do with my families, I enjoy having an idea about people they might have known.
