I am having similar problems with a 1894 birth in either Fulton Co. OR Missouri. Upon what report are you relying for Rosa's birth in Wild Cherry twp, Fulton Co.? I'm trying to confirm birth of Fredrick Monroe HINER (according to his Death Certificate) b. 28 Sept 1894 Fulton Co., AR; d. 22 Aug 1982; subsequent Census Records give an Arkansas birth. But his World War I Draft Card gives a birth place of Missouri. According to family lore, HINER was born in a covered wagon on the trail between a family gathering in Missouri and the family home in Arkansas; his mother died at childbirth. As you know, Arkansas didn't record births and deaths until after 1915; I have been advised that the library in Salem, Arkansas (county seat of Fulton Co) may contain some history to confirm the data. I am planning on making the 500-mile trip later in the fall and will be happy to check on Rosa Frost's birth in Wild Cherry if you wish. Sheila Census records list Rosa's birth as Missouri. Her death certificate also lists her place of birth as Missouri. I found on Family Search her birth as Wild Cherry Arkansas. I have learned that information on death certificates is only as good as the person reporting the information knows. I would appreciate if you would see what you could find for me. I had planned on making the 450 mile trip this summer but things didn't work out. Any help that you can provide would be helpful.
