The library at Alton, for being a small library, I feel like is a good one for marriage and death info (I live 2 miles outside of Alton) Sorry, I don't know any folks in Mammoth or Kosh. But I'm pretty convinced that if you went to the Senior Citizen Center in Mammoth that the folks there would answer your questions. Kosh is in Oregon Co., but there's a cafe in Kosh, and I suspect that some of the older folks might be there, you could try it and see if you can get your photos ID'd or questions answered. The library in Salem as well as the court house, has a great deal of information. The Mammoth Spring library is very small but does have a few things. I agree on the suggestion of going to the senior centers. There is one in Thayer, Oregon County, MO also. I would love to see the pictures as I had many relatives in Mammoth Spring from about 1900 until five years ago.
