    3. Young T. Morris, born 1857 in TN, was the son of George W. Morris, born 1825 and died 1886. He is buried at County Line Cemetery in Baxter Co., AR along with his wife and some of his children. Young T. is buried there along with his son, Thurman Jesse Morris. Can you tell me more about W.P. Morris? What were his names and where did he live? Catherine betty wrote: >Is Young T. 3. W.P. Morris was listed in Independence Co. in the 1840 Census with wife and children. He obtain land in 1825, 1829, some in what is now the City of Batesville. I have a note( didn't get the source) that says he received some of the land from 1812 War Script. He is list in the 1850 Fulton Co. Census but don't have that information at this time. In the early part of 1840 he move to what is now Salem, Fulton Co. AR and bought land. William P. Morris donated the land, where the Court House Stands, Salem, Fulton Co. AR, when it was formed in 1843. It is said he is buried on what was the Estes place but Mr. Estes didn't want a tomb in his yard so it was moved to the Courthouse grounds. He died around 1851. William P.Morris married Elizabeth Carr or Foreman McJunkins before the move to Salem. Elizabeth left her husband and her children with her Mother in TN and came with a brother to Batesville on their way to TX , but stayed in Batesville. After Morris death Elizabeth married Judge Samuel Billingsley of Franklin and is said to be buried in the Robert's Cemetery in Franklin. She is a ancestor on my husband's side. I've just always wonder what happen to William's wife in the 1840 census and where she might be buried. Also what happen to his children.
