I think there was something about this Dr. Roberts published, maybe by Darla Hopper or Betty Tucker, not too long ago. At that time I did some investigating and decided he was not related to our family. Now, a cousin claims that he was actually Thomas Hemphill Peter Roberts, my g. grandfather who died in 1931. I think maybe I need any information available about the parents, grand parents, siblings: anything that might connect to the Roberts family in in Fulton County since 1860. Jane is not among them, but James Amos Billingsley is. Samuel had a Jane Billingsley by his first wife Ruth Hale, but she was much, much older than 16 by 1850. So this M. Jane Billingsley has me puzzled. I am going to look an 1840 census for a Samuel Billingsley that I found listed in the 1840 TN census. BOB H DAWSON 29 Mar 1921 19 Sep 1990 72583 (Viola, Fulton, AR) (none specified) 431-28-1731 Arkansas This is the information I found off of the SSDI. And this is the only information I have. He was the father of my grandfather. My grandfather was raised by his mother's grandparents and didnt know that Bob Dawson was his father until much later. He thought he was a family friend coming to visit. Both men have since passed away so one can only assume their reasons why their relationship was that way. Now, I am trying to find other members of the Dawson family. I am told that he married and eventually had more children. I do not know their names or even whom he married. Its very vague information, but any insight would be eternally appreciated. Thank you.

Is there something that makes you think that M.Jane is not his child and maybe the twin of Jos.? Did you look at the 1840 census for how many children Samuel had and at what ages?
