Hi folks! The V.A. has gone on line with info on where veterans are buried, including Arlington (since 1999) and other National Cemeteries. Approximately 80,000 names are currently on file. On April 17, 10:00 there will a Gathering of the Cousins in Tuckerman City Park with Bar-B-Que and lots of visinting. This includes all people who can connect in any way back to Old Ephriam and his brother William H. Sharp. For whom the county was named. Each of you are welcome and encouraged to attend. You can find out more details by contacing me at Tootied@cox.net. We will discuss the interconnections of the different families associated with the SHARP line. A Civil War memorial will be set for Pinkney Shipley who married Margaret Amanda Sharp, daughter of Old Ephriam. We will try to organize ourselves into a association. One of the goals will be to try to save some of the Historical sites of our ancestors. This will include all the cousins on my website almost 300 strong. There will be cousins from other SHARP lines that connect back to our William and Mary Sharp in the early 1700s. Thank you and know that I have much material on these lines that I would love to share wi! th all. All surnames are welcome into our group. Ira Sharp Dennis aka Tootie

Hi - saw your posting regardint the Smiths.... I have a Joseph Smith and Elizabeth (Tuttle) Smith who were on the 1860 Fulton County, Ark. census. They came from Tenn. and were the parents of my great great grandmother, Mary Jane Smith Presley. I have always wondered where/when they died. They were living next to Mary Jane Smith Presley and her husband Milas Pinkney Presley in 1860, along with their new baby Mahala Presley. If anyone has info on this Smith family, I would love to hear from you too. There are sooooo many Smiths in that area who came from Tenn. Thanks so much, Janice
Thank you Fern,Vera, and Peggy will be looking forward for the picture.Seems like at one timethere was a ferry on white river there at Norfork, but may be dreaming.I was wondering if the Sheid bridge above Norfork didn't take its place. Fern i guess the bridge was being built at the time this picture was taken.Don't look like the road on the Stone Co side was black topped then. Thanks again june Come See Our Kin (and friends) http://communities.msn.com/JunebugsOldFamilyPhotos

Hello, This is very interesting. Thank you. These are my Grandparents. Researching James H. SMITH and Farcy CARUTHERS. I don't have any information on the SMITH family. The family said his parents died when he was about 2. Farcy CARUTHERS was the daughter of John D. CARUTHERS. They were married in Salem, Fulton County, July 16, 1899. They went to OK. My Mother is Minnie Mae SMITH. Joyce M.
