    3. Hi Lin, The Fulton Co. Cemetery book describes Hurst Cem as: "Hurst Cemetery is located on a gravel Road about two miles north of Pickren Hall. Take the first road to the right after you pass Pickren Hall Church, headed west. Go north about two miles and make a left. The Cemetery is about three quarters of a mile on this road. It is one of the best kept cemeteries in the county." We hope these directions will help. If you need more specific directions, we will look it up on our map program. The cemetery book lists Barrett, Hamon Paul (husb of Kate) 1839 - 1920. There are several listings in RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project for James E. Barrett (wife Nancy) showing father Haman Allen Barrett who m. Susan Catherine "Kate" Morgan. We think this is the same Haman, but don't know why the middle name is listed as Allen. Other census records for Haman are listed below. If you need any of them, let us know 1860 Cannon Co. TN, Woodbury Twp. 1870 Cannon Co. TN Woodbury twp 1880 Fulton Co. AR Bennetts Bayou twp 1900 Fulton Co. AR Bayou twp. Barrett, Katheryn Morgan (wife of Hamon) 1845-1936 is given in the Cemetery Book. Reba Alsup <Ralsup2@aol.com> in RootsWebs WorldConnect gives Jackson M. Morgan and Elizabeth Mears as the parents of Susan Catherine "Kate" Morgan. The Morgans were also in Cannon Co. TN, Woodbury , 1840 through 1870. In 1880 Jackson Morgan was in Marion Co. AR., Union Twp. 1. Bob Adams killed in Marion County in 1850s
    2. Dorothy Boynton
    3. Can anyone help me try to locate information about the death of a Bob Adams in Marion County? I found a handwritten note on some stationary of Dr. John Q. Wolf of Batesville, AR which said" Bob Adams son of Matt & Kate was killed in Marion Co." That is the extent of the note. It does not give a date of the killing. The paper was NOT dated, but I know that it was written in the early 1930s as Dr. Wolf wrote family members to gather information to compile a family history. So I think it might possible be his handwritten note concerning some information he either received or researched. I do NOT know the parents of the Bob Adams in question. I know that a Matthew Adams, his wife Priscilla Catharine Wolf Adams, and their family lived in Marion County in 1850 before moving to TX about 1851. I know that they did have a son named Robert K. Adams, but our family data has nothing about him being killed in Marion County. I also know that the Matthew Adams had a brother John Q. Adams with wife Mary Ann Wolf Settle Adams who also had a son Robert Matthew Adams. Our family data shows that Robert died 28 Sep 1856, but the bible entry does not say anything about him being killed. These two Robert Adams would have been a year apart in age and were born in 1827 and 1828. I know that there were Adams men involved in the Tutt-Evertt War . They were simply named, Matthew, John and Bob Adams. I do NOT know which Matthew, John or Bob is being referenced here. Perhaps the killing, if one took place, could be the results of that war. Of course he could have been killed in somekind of accident also as it simply stated that he was killed in Marion County. If you have any stories of an Adams male being killed in Marion County, please refer the incident to us as we have no knowledge of it in our family history. These Adams men are from the Adams line that came to AR from KY with the Wolf family of Norfork. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Dorothy Boynton dbton@yahoo.com
