HI CARMELLA, I would love to have a copy of the family tree! Cora and Austin and my parents, Ernest Roberts and Elsie Nisbett had a double wedding 27 Sept 1922. Does a wedding picture exist? That would be a real treasure. I think Jeanette may have been in San Antonio when I lost her address many years ago. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carm" <pineknot@cox.net> To: <ARFULTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 24, 2005 5:58 PM Subject: Re: [ARFULTON] Barkers in Fulton County > Wilma, yes, I have James Austin Barker and Cora Nisbett and the ancestors > of James Austin back to 1806. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Andrus, Matthews Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/VV.2ADE/459 Message Board Post: I am in possession of a diary of Rachel Andrus. From research we have determined she lived with her parents Albert and Annadam Andrus and sister Sarah in Fulton Co., AR from at least 1900 to 1907. She was born Dec. 1883 in NE and her sister was born in 1885 in the same state. In the 1900 census her father is listed as a miner and born in 1858 in NY as was both his parents. Anadam is listed as born in 1860 and born in Iowa and parents born in Maryland and Penn. I know that the family was still living in this same area in at least 1907 but the father had died by this time. She taught school in Izard Co. in the year 1905-1906 then returned to Salem and her mother. I would really like to contact any one who knows this lady. I also have a picture that has been identified as Rachel. I would like to know what happened to her after the time of the diary.
Wilma, yes, I have James Austin Barker and Cora Nisbett and the ancestors of James Austin back to 1806. I have pictures of James and Cora and of their son James Nisbett Barker. I also have James Nisbett's son (James Robert and wife and their latest child, (another James). I have pictures of all of them. Let me know if you would like any of my information. Thanks, Wilma. Did the Courthouse burn in Fulton County burn? Im interested in the marriage of Enoch Hardcastle to Mary Henson possibly about 1860. Any information on Enoch or Mary would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Linda
Susan: I don't know which way you will be coming in, but there is only one stop light here in Salem. When you get to it, turn onto Highway 9 South, and it will be a very short distance, maybe 1/8 mile or less on your left, past the State Highway Dept. shop. Hope that helps some! Rani Everett
