Deann, I'm not sure if this will help you out, but this is my connection the the Kimbrough family . I am a descendent of Mary Ann Kimbrough and she seem about the age group of your Alford. She lived in Izard Co, just south of Fulton. In fact a lot of the area that she lived in was in Fulton Co. from 1842 until 1874.
