Hello List I was wondering if anyone had a fulton county or Izard county cemetery book that wouldnt mind doing a look up? I was wondering if anyone could see if there is a Marie Montgomery buried after 1880 or Lewis Montgomery buried after 1874? Im working on my montgomery line and would appreciate any help I could find. Hopefully one day I will be able to visit Arkansas and see the stones for myself! My grandmother and her family are from Byron, or as they called it Barn. Does everyone down there call it Barn? Perhaps it was the accent that made it sound like Barn?
Thank you very much. Another little hole filled in. Every little thing helps. Lena wilma.norton@valornet.com wrote: Jesse Webb, 21 to Jennie Sexton, 18 - 13 Jul 1902 Fulton Co. AR. Hi Lena: I thought I had a marriage book for Fulton but I could not find it. I shall continue to check. I looked in Fulton Co. 1900 and I find only John coming from GA. The l910 book has more West families but from Kansas, Iowa and Kentucky. I can send copies for $5.00 to cover copies and mailing. If you had the ages of your people and sibling names it would help. Happy Haunting, Marian
Marian I do not have anything about Jesse Webb except that his father came from Tennesse and his mother from Arkansas and that in in 1910 census Jesse and Jennie had 3 children living but 4 born. Also in the 1910 census it has that Jesse and Jennie were married 8 years. Jennie is the daughter of James Harvey Sexton and Frances Eva Stubblefield.. Hello Lists, I am going through my paperwork to see what I am missing and have found that I have misplaced a great deal of my MONTGOMERY family information. Please help me find the 1850 Census if you link up with this family: Lewis Montgomery, b abt. 1798 in KY , died before 1870 in Izard County, AR married Nancy Unknown b abt 1807 in TN, had the children in TN: Elizabeth b1827, Martha B1837, Lewis b1839-My ancestor married Marie Byrd, Sarah, B 1843, and Wm C. b1845. This info is from the 1860 Census, Izard County. I found Lewis & Marie in 1870 in Izard Co, Mill Creek Twp, but I havent been able to find anyone else. If you can help me Id appreciate it greatly. Im sending this to the Fulton County list since I have a ton of relatives down there who may see this posting and could help me out. Thank you. I am looking for the parents of a LouElla (or Elsie) Davis who was born between 1879 - 1882 in AR. At 19, she married Alvin Godwin in Fulton County, AR in 1900. Their marriage license lists Ella as "19 from Hardy AR". In the 1900 census, Ella and Alvin Godwin lived in Pleasant Ridge, Fulton County, Arkansas; by 1910, they lived in Mammoth Springs, Fulton County, Arkansas with their two children Laura and Arvil. Both census reports list TN as Ella's parents' place of birth. I lose track of Ella and the two children after 1910. Alvin goes back to live with his parents. I did see an Ella McGee, married (but no husband listed), with two kids - Lorine O and Orvale L Godwin on the 1920 Pottawatomie, OK census. However, her age is not quite right in this census (34 yo, which would make her born in 1886), although the children's ages are correct. Also this census lists her place of birth as TN and that of the kids to be MO. Her son, Orvale L Godwin corresponds to my great-grandfathe! r's name, so I am pretty sure this is the right Ella. I am looking for Ella's parents who were at one time probably in the Sharp or Fulton County, AR area and also I am looking for her daughter, Laura or Lorine Godwin. Any help would be greatly appreciated. --------------------------------- Yahoo! for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
