    2. Bill Dunn
    3. Patty, Hi! I am Bill (in CA) and I have often wondered about the HARRISes in Fulton Co. My GG grandmother, Sarah Jane COOK ROBY DESHAZO, is the daughter of Henry W. COOK and Elizabeth HARRIS who came to Fulton Co. in the fall of 1860 from Calloway Co., KY. Elizabeth is the daughter of Jesse HARRIS and Edith OWEN. Jesse was born in SC and married Edith in Barren Co., KY in 1822. I have very little info on this family. So if you feel that there might be a connection, please let me know. Perhaps you can send me looking in another direction. 3. Betty, I have an aunt that married a GARRISON and they still live outside of Salem on my Grandpa ROBY's farm. This Garrison family lived in Oregon Co., MO, near Couch. My uncle's father's name was Herman Thomas GARRISON (1914-1989) If you feel this family might be connected to you, let me know. I can get you in contact with my cousin, who I am sure has researched his paternal line much further than I have. 3. Hi all, I am researching ggreat grandfather Andrew Jackson Harris who homesteaded in Fulton County in 1862. Part of his (now sold) property has the Elizabeth Cemetery on it. He had the following children who I am researching: Francis Marion, William Douglas, Mary A., and others that I just have initials for. Last seen on the 1880 Fulton census. Great Grandfather Francis Marion Harris married Margaret Ann Conard, she is buried in the Hebron Cem. He is buried in the Custer-Herron Cem. I have no idea who or where her parents are. Anyone that has any info or would like to exchange info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Patty Riley in CA, who just got home from a trip to see the Harris homestead.

I am behind on helping members unsubscribe and most likely I will not get to you till the Roll Call is over. Just a reminder for those who have yet to post their Roll Call information. Please change the subject line to give a hit of what is in your messages. If you just hit return to post your message, PLEASE do not forget to delete the old message and taglines from the earlier posting. If you are on a county list, give us a time period for your surnames...if you are on a State list you need to also add counties. This Roll Call will be over at 8:00 pm Mountain Standard time on Sunday, April 21st. If you have not posted by that time. It is to late. 3. Forgot to paste! Subject: [LYNCH] Thank You !! Date: Fri, 19 Apr 2002 00:23:56 EDT From: BrightStar9136@aol.com To: LYNCH-L@rootsweb.com Hello List Admin and Members, I would just like to take the time to THANK all of you for your wonderful post. Weather good or bad, all of your opinions count to me. I have many list to still work on and I learn from what you all teach me. I had originally intented to post these tonight, but an emergency came up and I had to do it today. I am sorry for any inconvenience to any of you. I have a handful of folks telling me about a gibberish problem, but after careful checking , and talking to AOL- live, I am informed that it is not on my end. And it seems to be with the DIGEST portion of the posting??? At any rate, I am going to proceed with caution. Before starting on the next batch of list, I will be double checking everything. I will also limit the amount of post per day. Please believe me that my intention was never to be mean or hoggish of your list. I am merely a geneologist with info that has not yet reached the web, and my intention was to get it to all of you in FREE GENEOLOGY. My intention was also to get it into the ROOTSWEB archives. Rootsweb has been a tool for geneologist , that allows us to share and have the means to connect our family's freely. I owe them alot. And I also owe every poster who has taken time to post. I want you all to know that I plan on answering each and every post that was sent to me, asking me questions and all of that sort of stuff. I exspecially want to thank all of you LIST ADMINISTRATORS who have allowed the info to reach the Rootsweb archives. It will be there for generations to come. There is so much more coming out of Washington DC about the FREEDMEN. It has been long overdue. I remember back before Ex President Clinton left office and he made the statement that the FREEDMEN RECORDS needed to be indexed and taken care of. Well as a young Freedmen researcher, I have had some of the best folks to work with from Washingtion . I have been told that there is much more to come, at a later date. So I will leave you with this question. Do I continue to post to free geneology so that your children will have the records? Isn't Rootsweb for the purpose of free geneology? Is it worth a few DIGEST in gibberish to have it in your archives? Last but not least, my work on your list at this time is complete, so I will be moving on. I thank you all for your patience . 1. Re: [ARFULTON] ROLL CALL Armstrong
    2. Jim and Wanda How are things way up north? I don't have a good answer for you on the location of the Armstrongs in Mississippi. I am going by census data and a couple of Martha Susan Armstrong's little brothers and sisters stated they were born in Mississippi. Unfortunately this was between census years and so we haven't located just where. In 1880 in Pleasant Ridge, Fulton Co, Arkansas R. D. Armstrong b. MS but in 1910 Richwoods Twp, Sharp Co, Arkansas R. Decalb Armstrong b AL In 1880 Richwoods Twp, Sharp Co, Arkansas Andrew J. Armstrong b MS and in 1900 Richwoods Twp, Sharp Co, Arkansas Jack A. Armstrong b MS The siblings born before Richard DeCalb Armstrong and Andrew Jackson Armstrong were born in Marion County, Alabama. The children after these two were born in Lawrence and Fulton Co, AR. But if it helps any I have these people associated with Itawamba: David Alexander Armstrong (son of Richard Armstrong and Martha "Patsy" Huntley) died 1889 in Itawamba Co, MS. Susannah Armstrong wife of Robert G. Perkins dau of William W. Armstrong In 1860 she lived in Itawamba Co MS with husband and seven children Elizabeth Isabelle Lochridge wife of William Harvard Spearman younger sister to Malena Lochridge buried in Itawamba Co MS Scena Spearman wife of John Lochridge (bro to Malena) she was buried in Itawamba Co MS My ggf (genealogical gut feeling) is that it sure could be one of our Armstrongs.
