    3. Hi Wilma, We have corresponded before about the Merriott/Marriott line. According to my records, Edycomb (Edward) Merriott's wife was Elendor Bridges. Our connection to the Merriott/Marriott line is through Edward's sister Malinda who m. Larkin McCarty and we could share this McCarty line with anyone interested. We have not found Larkin and Malinda McCarty after the1860 census, and wonder what happened to them. Were they a casualty of the Civil War? 2. Lola L. Allen
    3. Hello Everyone, My name is Lola Allen, and I live in Dixon, CA, a small community near Sacramento. My earliest ancestor to Fulton Co., AR was Nancy (EMERY) CARR, b. 1835 (Meigs Co.?) TN and d. 1902 Fulton Co., AR. Nancy was widowed during the Civil War and moved from TN to MO. In 1870, she and her children were living in Dent Co., MO with the John Nixon & Sarah Agnes (CARR) PENDERGRASS family. Sarah was Nancy's sister-in-law. Sometime before 1880, Nancy and her children settled in South Fork Township. In 1884, Nancy (EMERY) CARR married Robert R. Preston TODD. She was widowed again when R.R.P. TODD died in 1898. Nancy (EMERY) CARR TODD is not listed in the Fulton Co., AR cemetery book; however, she is believed to be buried in an unmarked grave in Burks Chapel Cemetery. 1 Nancy Jane EMERY 1835 - 1902 +John W. James C. & Sarah (CARR) REED, Harmon Lily & Cordealy (CARR) BISHOP, and John Wallace & Nettie (OUZT) CARR all moved to Bristow, Creek Co., OK before 1910. Tabitha M. (CARR) TODD PHILLIPS moved to OK as well, and according to descendants, she is buried in Durant, Bryan Co., OK. William Marion CARR is a puzzle. He is my great grandfather, and I don't know what became of him after 1900. William A. & Margaret R. (CARR) WALKER stayed in AR, and sometime before 1936, they moved to Tuckerman, Jackson Co., AR. 2. Ron "My father was Lowell L. "Jack" Estes (b. 1919). My paternal grandfather, Arlie Estes, b. 1891, was postmaster at Agnos for 35 years. His father was James Madison Estes (b. 1852) the son of James Estes (b. 1823), and his mother was Adeline McCord, the d/o Daniel McCord and Nancy Jane Wiles." My connection to the Wiles family is not by any means direct. Nancy Jane Wiles' uncle John Wiles was the husband of my 4g aunt Martha Jane Ritchie. After John died she went on to marry my 4g uncle James Leroy Armstrong. I would like to know more about your McCord family. Are they connected to David F. McCord who married Elizabeth Ritchie in 1855 in Marshall County Tennessee? Elizabeth was Martha Jane's cousin. "Susan C. Roberts was the d/o William Asbury Roberts (b.1852) and Hannah Johnson (b. 1852)." William Asbury Roberts was the younger brother of Henry Lewis Roberts who married my 4g aunt Martha Susan Armstrong. Looking through census I find your various Roberts kin living between my 4g uncle James Leroy Armstrong and my 4g uncle Adam Ahart. Marcia Hart Wilson in southern California

    2. Bev. Thanks for looking. I will enroll on the MOOREGON-L, and see what I can find. Lots of the Howell Co. Marshall's are not mine. Mine moved to Fulton Co. ARK. except I don't know about Christinna/Marthena, if she remarried or died. (Some records show Marthena and some Christianna.) Most of the Hatfield's are mine. Without checking my records, 1st cousin 3 times removed Francis Marion Hatfield and his family. My mind seems to be shut down right now on Hatfield names. Hicks would just be Susan and Mary, and I don't know who they m. and/or if they went to Fulton Co. with Marshalls. Martha m. in Howell Co., but I have copy of her lic. The 3 older Hicks girls m. in Bond Co. IL. Didn't intend to write a book.
