    1. [ARFULTON] From List Mom - A few thoughts and reminders
    2. Kathleen Burnett
    3. Dear List Members, It is time again for one of my information messages. First of all I want to thank each of you who go out of your way to follow the list rules. I belong to many lists in my research and truly feel you are the best list members out there. If you are enjoying this list and would like to know what other genealogical lists Rootsweb has for you, go to John Fuller's site located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~jfuller/gen_mail.html It is the best source for Genealogical mailing lists that I know of. If you would like to visit the archived messages for this list or any Rootsweb List you may go to http://archiver.rootsweb.com and type in the name of the list and from there you can search by date. There is a great Rootsweb site, Password Central, you can go to if you want to find out what Rootsweb lists you are a member of or need to unsubscribe from a list, just follow the instructions. http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ To unsubscribe from any Rootsweb list send only the word UNSUBSCRIBE to XXXX-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM Naturally exchange the XXXX with the name of the list and the L with a D if you are on the Digest List. I have very few rules on the lists I take care of; the main one is to treat your fellow members as you would like to be treated, also Roll Calls will be called by me, with a beginning date and an ending date. The posting of virus warnings, chain letters, political announcements, current events and test messages are NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. Consideration for exceptions, contact me, KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net Please remember that I am here, working behind the scenes. When an offending message is posted, just DELETE it. Know that I am most likely taking care of the problem personally with the person who posted the message. When you send your unhappiness to the list you just continue on the problem both for the members and for myself. If you are concerned that I have missed the message, you can send me a message at KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net. Would you like to see the growth in the United States between 1650 and 1983? This is a great visual. I have shared it before but I am sure we have many new members since then. http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~stephan/Animation/us.gif This is your list. I am only here to take care of it for you and to make sure it runs smoothly. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to send them to me. 2. Hello there. My name is Patricia Strauser Johnson. My Dad was Allie Randolph Strauser. I can remember many times stopping at the Saddle store with my Dad and him telling me of riding in the wagon with his Dad to get flour and meal ground. His Dad died when he was quite young so this was a really good memory for him. I too would love to have copies of any pictures available for the Grist Mill, store, or anything else in that area. I would gladly pay copy and postage. Thanks, Patricia Strauser Johnson . Mari Lewis writes: > Hi, I, too would love any photos of Dee Sutherland's Grist mill.He was my great great uncle. 1. [ARFULTON] 1870 census
    2. If anyone has access to the 1870 Arkansas census...Fulton Co.I think. I'm looking for either Mary Bookout, Mary Bookout Turner, Henry Jasper Turner, or William Howard Crouch...Mary would probably be 27 years of age. Child, Eliza Eveline turner, would be 8. I do not have access to 1870, I have 1860 and 1880...Anyone that could do a lookup would greatly be appreciated! Thanks Bunches! Vola in Florida

    2. Couldn't help but respond to the Bald Know inquiry. I lived in Wheeling, (s. of Salem) in the late 30's. My aunt lived in Searcy. My mother and I would ride the mail truck from Salem to Bald Knob where my aunt would pick us up...I think that was the end of the railroad line too, or was it Judsonia? Brings back memories! 1. Re: [ARFULTON] Susan Frances Sears lookup
    2. John T. Spradling
    3. Hello Karen, I have a record of Elizabeth Frances Sears who married William Cochran. I have William's birth and death dates but no marriage date. She also married William Gilstrop and they had six children living with them in 1880. She had a sister named Susan L. Sears who married Thomas Powell. Both girls had another sister, Alcy Caroline Sears Ward, who is my great grandmother. All of these Sears girls were born in Georgia and later moved to Fulton County, Arkansas. Does any of this fit your search? How are you connected to the Sears? 1. Re: [ARFULTON]Henry Jasper Turner-Mary A. Bookout
    2. I'm desperately searching for any information concerning a Henry Jasper Turner who lived in Fulton Co. 1850-1870. Supposedly....he married my Ggrandmother Mary Bookout and had a child Eliza Eveline Turner b. Jan. 18, 1862 in Fulton Co. My line shows a Eliza Eveline CROUCH born same day, to William Howard Crouch and Mary Anne Bookout. This is a big mystery-and if anyone knows who Henry J. Turner is...or how I can find out...I'd appreciate the help! Volamae in Florida

    3. Thanks for your reply. William Wright is still the mystery man in my family tree. I've seen a picture of him and his wife, but know so very little about him. I'm told that he use to have a place at Many Islands.
