I found a marriage listing for my ggg grandfather/grandmother, James A. Hardgrove b. 1835 & Margaret J. Hiles b. 1841 on your Rootweb site. Do you have their marriage listed in the marriage book? You have it listed as Sept. 4, 1855. My family is searching for proof that he was the son of Joshua Hargrove & Lucretia Seale. James and family were supposedly killed by bush whackers in the 1860's. My gg grandfather and his brother David survived by hiding in the corn crib. He went to live with his Aunt Lucretia Hargrove Ford who is a documented child of Joshua. It is hard to believe that James A. was not Joshua's child but we cannot find any documented proof. Any help you can provide would be wonderful. Michaelee Stack MStack26@aol.com
