It's strange. I was just reading over the first few probate record books (from 1839 onwards) and came across this name Isley. I was actually looking for Ivey's and so I had to read this name several times before I was convinced that it was really Isley and not Ivey. The handwriting 150 years ago seems to have been meant more for the original author than for researchers of today!
