Funeral service will be held today at 2:30 p.m., for Mrs. Mary Jane Grimes, 83, who died at Altus hospital Sunday. The service will be conducted by Rev. T. L. Dickerson at the Liberty cemetery. Born at Altus Sept. 29, 1867, Mrs. Grimes had been making her home with her son, Elmer Grimes of west Denning. She had been ill for about a week, having suffered a stroke. Mrs. Grimes was a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors other than Mr. Grimes, who was her only son are four daughters Mrs. William Brashears and Mrs. Elzora Brashears and Mrs. Della Robertson of Wiedner and Mrs. Eddie Jetton of Fort Smith; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Margaret Snider is a sister and Simon Gazaway is a brother. Both live at Ozark Route 2.
