    3. Anyone who has a transcribed or Photostat of the 1870 Franklin County census, I would be happy to post it to the Franklin County webpage in the census section. Part of the 1850 census up and I will appreciate it if a volunteer can complete that census so we can display the complete 1850 census on line. This is of course true for every census we don't yet have on the website. There are also many cemeteries that we know the location of, but are not yet transcribed and put on line. We also have categories that other counties may not have, school records, church records, other misc. records like store ledgers, local histories, etc......we put any record on line, AND we also put up old photographs of people, towns, old construction projects, etc. Anything like those that you would like to donate will be well appreciated by our visitors. You see that it takes many volunteers to finish just one county, and we appreciate ever one of them. Don Kelly, CC of Franklin County, ARGENWEB. Please visit our webpage. You may see some of your ancestors there. http://users.rootsweb.com/~arfrankl/ ----- Original Message ----- From: Eldon Edgin To: ARFRANKL-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, May 23, 2001 6:22 PM Subject: Re: [ARFRANKL] Help on 1870 census Franklin Co AR Living in Dwelling No. 6, family No. 6: John Lawyer, age 50, born ILL (Farmer) Agnes Lawyer, age 45, born ILL Daniel Lawyer, age 14, born ILL Mary Lawyer, age 8, born ILL Elizabeth Lawyer, age 7, born ILL Living next door at Dwelling No. 7, family No. 7 William Lawyer, age 25, born ILL Margaret Lawyer, age 20, born ILL John Lawyer, age 1, born ILL All are in White Rock TWP, Ozark PO. 1. [ARFRANKL] Pillow, Campbell, Jaggers, Adcock
    2. Michael E. Burk
    3. Hi everyone. I have finally come up with some answer's to question's asked in my family, but they in turn lead to more question's. Sometime around 1857 my gggreat grandfather Francis A. Pillow and family moved in Franklin County, AR. I had supposed for some time that they moved there either with or to be around Rogers, of whom my gggreat grandmother Charlotte S. "Rogers" Pillow comes from. Yet on the 1850 Franklin County, AR., Census I have found one William Pillows in the home of R.H. Campbell in Mulberry Township. Now jumping between Franklin County, AR., and Maury County, TN., I have found the answer's that lead to the other question's. In the 1850 Census for Maury County, TN., 10th district, page 357/179. in the home of William Pillow you will find. 360/360, William Pillow, 54, M, Millwright, 350, VA Martha A, 24, F, Ala Lucy E, 20, F, TN James D. Jaggers, 30, M, Farmer, TN. Mary W, 23, F, TN. William, 2, M, TN. Rufus J. Pillow, 9, M, TN. William Pillow age 54 is without doubt William Pillow Jr. the youngest son of William Pillow Sr. b. 1739 in England, and also William Pillows in the home of Richard H. Campbell in the 1860 Census for Mulberry TWP, Franklin Co., AR. Martha A. Pillow married to Jessie Adcock in 1851 at Maury County, TN. Lucy E. Pillow married to William C. Jaggers in 1853 at Maury County, TN. Mary W. Pillow married to James D. Jaggers in 1847 at Maury County, TN. James D. Jaggers must have died sometime before August 1858 when Mary W. Jaggers married Richard H. Campbell in Franklin County, AR. William age 2, in 1850 Maury County, Census was in fact William Jaggers age 2, son of Mary W. Pillow and James D. Jaggers, and is listed in 1860 as Wm. Jaggers age 11. Now what I am searching for is what happened to these people, Lucy E. Pillow who married William C. Jaggers is found in 1860 in Mulberry TWP, Franklin Co., AR., not far from her sister and father in the Campbell home. and later in Horsehead TWP, in Johnson Co., AR in 1870. William C. Jaggers died about 1865. Martha A. Pillow who married Jessie Adcock, I have not found in the 1860 Franklin Co., AR. Census, though I have found Adcock's above Ozark. I am trying to find out what happened to the Campbell - Pillow descendants, are some of them still in Franklin County, or did they all move or die off. William Pillow Jr. was the youngest son of William Pillow Sr. and the administrator on the estate of William Pillow Sr. after his death in 1821 Maury County, TN. William Pillow Jr. was also the younger brother of my ggggreat grandfather Richard Dearing Pillow, and Uncle to my gggreat grandfather Francis A. Pillow, this connection is most likely the reason that Francis A. Pillow came to Franklin County, AR. and I would like to find these Campbell, Adcock, and Jaggers cousin's. Any help is very much appreciated. Michael E. Burk imagine@cybertime.net
