How's everyone doing? This list has been mighty quiet, or I've been unsubscribed!! Is anyone connected to the above families in Drew Co.? I know just enough about them to be genealogically "dangerous!" Sure could use some help. Jann Woodard --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Jann, I am not a McQuiston descendant, but over the years have gathered a lot of information on this family. Some information from records and some from interviews with family members. What did you want to know about the McQuiston family? Perhaps I can help. Below you will see a Moore connection. I have a Pevey in my Owens line. This will connect to the Moore and McQuiston families. Addie L. Moore was first married to Thomas Nixon Pevey (before marrying Andrew Jackson McQuiston). Their children that I have were: G. C. "Buck" Pevey b. 1890, Maggie Belle Pevey b. 1893 and Mary Pevey b. 1897. Maggie Belle Pevey, dau. of Addie L. Moore and Thomas Nixon Pevey married James Edward Owens. Their children were: James Harris Owens, Mary Lou Owens and Janibel Owens. Parents of James Edward Owens were Leander Dan Owens and Mary V. "Mollie" Tippin. Leander Dan Owens was the son of James H. Owens and Selina Gabbie. James H. Owens was the brother of Ezekiel Brooke Owens who was an early settler in Drew Co. (then Union Co. later Bradley Co. and finally Drew Co.) and James H. arrived later. Contact me personally for more info. Bill Brown: See the above info and that below: Ithygenia McQuiston who married James Edward Carter as his second wife was the daughter of Andrew Jackson "John" McQuiston who was born in Chester Co., SC and Addie L. Moore who was born in MS. Addie Moore was the third wife of Andrew Jackson McQuiston.Their children were William Wilson McQuiston and Ithygenia "Jennie" McQuiston. Parents of Andrew Jackson McQuiston were Andrew McQuiston and Sarah Hemphill. Parents of Addie L. Moore were S. Wils Moore and Mary Jane Watt. Contact me personally for more info.
