    3. Hi, Jann Woodward, You and I have corresponded before and you were helpful to me. Here's a small return on your favor...not much, I'm afraid. My great grandfather was James Edward Carter (25 June 1866-21 March 1930 Born in Coleman, Drew County, Ark, and died in Drew County. In the family, James Edward Carter was known as Jim Ed, according to my aunt Hazel Brown Wilkinson James Edward Carter's 1st wife, Carrie May Tucker died young, at age 24, in 1898. On 29 April, 1909, Jim Ed married his 2nd wife, Ithygenia (Jennie) McQuiston. She was born 6 Oct 1884 and died 7 July 1918. Jim Ed was 43 years old...Jennie was 24. They had one child, John Henry Carter, born 26 Feb. 1910. I photographed both their gravestones in the Old Union Cemetery about 10 miles northeast of Monticello. I think the McQuistons came from South Carolina to Drew County, year not known. Sorry, that's about all I have. Bill Brown Richardson, Texas bjw <jann_woodard@yahoo.com> wrote: How's everyone doing? This list has been mighty quiet, or I've been unsubscribed!! Is anyone connected to the above families in Drew Co.? I know just enough about them to be genealogically "dangerous!" Sure could use some help. Jann Woodard --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
