To Melissa Jones: Received your inquiry regarding your grandfather. If his name was Raymond M. Jones, he entered the Navy on February 24, 1943, trained at Farragut, Idaho and served overseas on the Island of Hawaii. He was discharged Jan. 1946. This is all the information contained in the veterans album complied by the American Legion. Other information can be obtained from the National Archives in Washington. Good Luck.
