There are three books that hve been published on the Lewis / Taylor / Howell connections.....they all tie from the Lewis bunch....One is called Lewis Kith and Kin.......I've never had the time to run off an entire book, and this is about what one would have to do to be able to sit down and go throught the entire connections......I don't know the names of the other two,but they are out there and tie these families together......I'm sure one would have this Howell Lewis in it....My great-great-great grandfather was Lewis Howell Daniel....mother was Elizabeht Lewis, dau. of James Lewis/son of Robt Lewis/son of Col Robt Lewis and Jane Merriwether Lewis(parents of Meriwether Lewis of Lewis & Clark Expedition Fame)........These all tie back to mose of those old VA families....Zachory Taylor....Fielding Lewis.....the connections to George Washington....even the Custis-Lee folks of Robt. E. Lee and Arlington Cemetery fame........Go to your library when you have lots of time because the ones I've seen were very thick.....I'm sure it would be there.
